Our members operate large scale, complex to simple model railroads outside in our yards with real plants, real rocks & real weather!

Some of us just enjoy visiting other member’s railroads. You don’t have to have a railroad to join us. You do have to be a member to enjoy our open railroad weekends April to October each year.

We have railroads in 10 Bay Area counties. Members help each other and often become friends for life.

38th NATIONAL GARDEN RAILROAD CONVENTION

JULY 2 TO JULY 9, 2023

For the 6th time, we are hosting the National Garden Railroad Convention in 2023.


70+ garden railroads will be open from Santa Rosa to Santa Cruz.


There will be multiple clinics, social gatherings and many vendors will showcase their products.
